Who does not know bollywood-renowned star Mahesh Kothare in today's time, he always remains in discussions because of one thing or the other. While he is celebrating his birthday today, Mahesh Kothare was born on September 28, 1953, an Indian actor, film director and producer of Marathi and Hindi films. He has worked in Indian cinema since a young age and has starred in famous films like Raja aur Rank.

The famous Hindi song is so good that you are so naïve that you are shown as master Mahesh in the film Raja and Ranka in the film King and Ranka. As a revolutionary man in the Marathi film industry, he started his directing career with Dhudhadaka (1985) and gave several hit films over a period of 20 years at the box office. Kothare's films are known for their technical nuances and imaginary concepts and are one of the few Indian filmmakers who have made successful films in fantasy genre.

Kothare made the first Marathi film in true 3d, hit at the box office, which was released on June 7, 2013 and was a sequel to the 1993 box office blockbuster Zapatela. The original horror-comedy features a doll named Tatya Vinchu, while the sequel includes animatronics and cutting-edge CGI.
