It can be termed as his Birth Anniversary. Dharmavarapu was an Indian Film Actor, Television Actor, Film Director & Comedian. This great star experienced a highly successful acting career. He was a famous name in the Telugu cinema and was known for his famous timing and carved a niche for himself with various memorable roles that he portrayed in a decorated career. He besides silver screen was an equally popular name on the small screen as well.

Later in his career, he went on to act in more than 100 films, including popular movies, "Shadow", "Bodyguard", "Chirutha", "Businessman", "Khaleja", "Darling", "King", "Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana", "Athadu" and "Okkadu". He also directed a Telugu film titled "Thokaleni Pitta", starring Naresh in the lead. He made his acting debut through the Telugu film tilted Jayammu Nischayammu Raa in the year 1990. He became a household name in Andhra Pradesh for his flawless dialogue delivery and comic timing. In a career traversing 23 years, he never failed to impress his fans.

Besides the silver screen, he also acted in some television shows. He also served as a host of the political satire program called 'Ding Dong' which was aired on Sakshi TV. Dharmavarapu Subramanyam died on 07-12-2013 in Dilsukhnagar, Hyderabad, Telangana, India. He died of liver disorder and cancer at age of 53.
