Hardik Patel Breaks  his indefinite hunger strike  On 19th Day


PAAS leader Hardik Patel ended his hunger strike on Wednesday. On this event, Khodaldham trust chairman Naresh Patel and other trustees of Patidar trusts were in the presence.

PAAS leader Patel said his supporters persuaded him to end his fast to 'live to fight another day'.

As per a micro blogging website Twitter the statement issued by the official Twitter handle of Hardik Patel, his decision to end his hunger strike emerged after he was persuaded by the trustees and his supporters to break his fast to keep on healthy for a longer clash.

While ending his hunger strike, Patel said, "After 19 days, all the leaders of this community came and asked me that I will fight only if I'm alive. That is why I broke the fast. I am very grateful for your support."

With the two main demands of the Patidar community reservation and relaxation of loans to farmers, Hardik started 'Fast to Death' on August 25 at his residence near Vaishno Devi Circle in Ahmedabad. Later, he also had demanded the release of PAAS convener, Amaresh Kathiriya from jail, who is in prison since August 19 in connection with the sedition registered against him by the Gujarat government. During this fasting of Hardik, the leaders Prakash Ambedkar, Shatrughan Sinha, Yashwant Sinha, Harish Rawat, Jignesh Mewani met him. But, the Gujarat government did not discuss anything with them.
