Haridwar: Kumbh Mela is going on in Dharmanagri Haridwar. There was speculation that it would end before the time of Kumbh, which lasted till 27 April. Putting an end to these speculations, the Uttarakhand government had made it clear that the Kumbh Mela will run as per its predetermined schedule. It will not end prematurely. Amidst all this, two Akharas have now decided to close their cantonments at the Kumbh Mela.

Panchayati Shriniranjani Akhara and Tapo Nidhi Sriyanand Akhara have decided to close their cantonments at Kumbh Mela. Both the Akhara will close their cantonments from April 17. Both the Akharas have taken this decision in view of the worsening situation and the worsening situation due to the increasing infection of Corona in Haridwar as well as in the whole country.

It has also been said from both the akharas that all saints who came to the Kumbh Mela will be requested to depart for their respective places. Also, as per the decision of the fourth Shahi Snan Akhara Parishad on April 27 or in the form of a symbolic decision, it has also been taken by both the akharas. Significantly, the fourth royal bath is to be held on 27 April.
