Lucknow: A number of cases of harsh firing have been heard in UP amid celebrations of victory after panchayat elections. Besides Lakhimpur Kheri, firing has been carried out in Aligarh to celebrate the victory. The newly elected Chief has also been taken into custody by aligarh police after the video of Harsh firing went viral. In Lakhimpur Kheri district, a video of the youth firing in Kallua village of Pasgawan police station area to celebrate his victory in the election started going viral on social media. Charanjeet Kaur, a resident of the village, is said to have won the election. 

It is learnt that the video has gone viral while standing in the open roof of a luxury car and firing air with a licensed rifle by the newly elected pradhan. When the bullet ends in one rifle, the young man standing nearby stops him, asking him to fire again and after the firing, the convoy moves towards the village. According to reports, it was only after the video went viral that the Police of Pasgawan police station registered a case against the criminal head and started an investigation and initiated the process of depositing arms.

Harsh firing in Aligarh: The supporters resorted to harsh firing while taking out a victory procession after becoming the pradhan in Subhash May, a village in Iglas police station area of Janha Aligarh, and it was only after the video went viral that the police immediately registered a case and arrested the newly elected pradhan.
