Karnal: A 5-year-old girl is reported to have fallen in a borewell in village Harisingh Pura of Gharaunda in Karnal district of Haryana. Around 9 pm on Sunday night, innocent Shivani is trapped in a 50-60 fit deep borewell. The girl was missing since noon. The NDRF team along with the police administration is engaged in saving the girl child. Preparations are being made to reach oxygen to the girl so that she can breathe.
According to the latest information, the first attempt of the NDRF to save Shivani was unsuccessful, an attempt was made to remove Shivani by putting a noose of pipe down the pipe, but could not succeed. Shivani's feet are seen in CCTV, now the NDRF team is considering other options. The team's effort was to get the girl out by trapping her leg, because the head of the girl is on the lower side, due to which she is having trouble removing it. However, oxygen is also being given through pipes.
Let us tell you that a similar incident came to light in Tirucharapalli district of Tamil Nadu also last week. Here a 2-year-old innocent was trapped in a borewell for three days. Efforts to save Sujit Wilson failed even after the three-day rescue operation. The NDRF team evacuated the child and reached the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.
