Chandigarh: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated the BJP election office in Rohtak on Monday, expressing confidence that the party will secure a third consecutive term in the state. Speaking at a press conference, Saini emphasized the enthusiasm of the people of Haryana for the BJP, drawing a parallel to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's third term as Prime Minister. "The people of Haryana will make the BJP form its government in Haryana for the third time," he stated.

During his address, CM Saini also criticized the Congress for forming an alliance with the National Conference to contest the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. He questioned the Congress's stance on the National Conference's support for the reintroduction of Article 370 and Article 35A, which he described as an "anti-national ideology." Looking ahead to the future, the Chief Minister announced that the BJP would prepare a "Sankalp" document outlining the party's vision and goals for the next five years, aiming to accelerate Haryana's progress.

In preparation for the upcoming Haryana Assembly elections, the BJP recently held a two-day brainstorming session in Gurugram. The meeting was chaired by BJP's Haryana State President Mohan Lal Badauli and attended by key leaders, including Union Minister and Haryana Assembly Election In-charge Dharmendra Pradhan, CM Nayab Singh Saini, and several other prominent figures.

During these sessions, the party discussed potential candidates for all 90 assembly seats in the state. Sources indicate that the names finalized during these discussions will be further reviewed in the Central Election Committee meeting before the final list of candidates is released.

The BJP's Haryana unit has compiled a list of over 300 potential candidates for assembly tickets, with some constituencies having up to five names shortlisted. On the second day of the meeting, the leadership gathered feedback from party office bearers and workers for each assembly constituency. The first day's discussions focused on five districts—Gurugram, Faridabad, Nuh, Rewari, and Palwal—while the second day was dedicated to candidates from 17 other districts.

This comprehensive deliberation reflects the BJP's meticulous approach to finalizing candidates for the 2024 Assembly elections, signaling the party's determination to secure a strong mandate in Haryana.
