Faridabad: A shocking case has come to light from UP in which Faridabad police have arrested a man for rape. It is alleged that the man first befriended the woman on the pretext of getting work in the serial. Then, promising marriage and raping her. The woman had filed a case against the man on December 13. Police arrested the accused within 24 hours and sent him to jail.

According to police, the accused Amrit hails from Bihar. The victim had stated in her complaint that she was from Prayagraj. She was friended with Amrit 6 years ago. A few days later, the two started talking over the phone. The conversation made the two friends. This led Amrit to tell the woman that he was a filmmaker and would get her a serial job.

She then came to Delhi after talking to Amrit. The young woman arrived in Delhi on December 2, 2021. After coming to Delhi, the criminal met the woman and proposed to her for marriage. The criminal told the woman that he wanted to marry her and would also talk to her family for the same. The young woman also said yes. The criminal took the woman to the Oyo Hotel in Faridabad NIT area on December 5. The woman was in slightly worse health and the criminal gave her a tablet that made the girl faint. The criminal then raped the woman and fled. The next day, when the young woman called the accused, she stopped picking up the call and blocked the woman's number. When the woman realized the fraud, she complained to the police on December 13. Based on the woman's complaint, a case under sections of rape was registered against the offender and a search was launched for the accused.
