Shahjahanpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone of Ganga Expressway at UP Shahjahanpur. This is the largest expressway in the State. The expressway will be ready by 2024 and will open up new avenues for Economic Development) and Employment of the State. The total length of this expressway will be 594 km and this Ganga Expressway will pass through the most fertile areas of the country.

The expressway is also going to benefit people from several other States including NCR, Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh. Let me tell all of you that this expressway will pass through 12 districts of Uttar Pradesh, which will greatly benefit the farmers, entrepreneurs, and common people of all these areas. All of you must know that the Ganga Expressway will pass through Meerut, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, and Shahjahanpur districts of western UP.
Another bridge will now be constructed at Garhmukteshwar for the movement of people from districts including Hapur and Bulandshahr. On the other hand, the expressway will go to Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh, and Prayagraj ahead of Shahjahanpur. As per the information received, 94% of the land purchase process for the expressway has been done so far and the rest will be done soon. An airstrip of 3.5 km will also be constructed in the Shahjahanpur district for landing and take-off of Air Force aircraft in an emergency on Ganga Expressway. The expressway will be accompanied by an industrial corridor. It is believed that the project will be completed and set up by 2025.
