Recently, a case of crime has come to light from Karnal district in Chandigarh, Haryana. A woman and a Dalit man were allegedly beaten up on Wednesday in a village in the district over "illegal relations", and the two were then garlanded with shoes. Both faces were blackened and rotated, and they were beaten again. In this case, it is reported that the daughter-in-law of the village had an illicit relationship with a young man and that is why he fled the house 15 days ago. On Wednesday, they were caught in Karnal, after which they were brought to the village.

The police gave this information to everyone in this case. In his comments, he said, "The family of a Dalit man has lodged a complaint with the police. The family told reporters that some relatives of the woman, with the help of some villagers, grabbed the woman and beat the man. A garland of shoes was put around their necks and their faces were blackened and turned around in the village," he said.

At the same time, he alleged that some villagers had also made videos of the incident and a police officer said, "We have registered an FIR against some villagers and relatives of the woman's family. A detailed investigation is being carried out in this regard," he said, adding that the investigation in this regard is still continuing.
