Haryana reported 0 Death related to COVID-19 in 130 days struggle

The Haryana state's first zero COVID-19 fatality day in four-and-a-half months has been reported on October 18, 2020. There was no coronavirus-related death on Sunday however the caseload increased by 952. The health department's daily bulletin says the death toll in the state stands at 1,640 same as saturday.  “The Haryana Health Department is happy to announce that no death due to COVID-19 has been reported today (24-hour period),” Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Rajeev Arora said.

The Zero mortality was seen earlier on June 6, almost after 135 days the state has seen Zero fatality due to corona virus has been reported. He added it is heartening, yet there is no room for complacency and the Haryana Health department will remain proactive and alert till there is a lasting solution to the COVID-19 infection. In the month of September, Haryana state has reported almost 20 daily fatalities for several days. The first COVID-19 death was reported on March 17. It was a 29-year-old woman from Gurgaon district had tested positive for the infection who has travel a travel history to Malaysia and Indonesia. 

Corona cases slows down in the country, 55,722 new cases reported in the last 24 hours

As on nOctober 18, the infection tally in the state rose to 1,50,033 with 952 fresh cases. The districts which reported a huge spike in cases include Gurgaon (249), Faridabad (177) and Hisar (131). At present, there are 10,042 active cases, the recovery rate is 92.21 per cent, and the fatality rate is 1.09 per cent and the doubling rate is 42 days.
