Haryana: Students in Haryana schools will now be studying Gita verses. According to reports, Education Minister Kanwar Pal told reporters that Gita verses will be included in school textbooks as part of the academic curriculum. Once the work is completed, this will be implemented in the following academic session.

At the ongoing International Gita Mahotsav in Kurukshetra, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that Gita verses would be included in school textbooks. The Education Minister told reporters the same thing.

Students in Haryana schools will learn these Gita passages and become familiar with the ancient literature. As of now, the Chief Minister has stated that books and passages relating to the Gita will be included in the curriculum for grades 5 and 7.

It is critical, according to Chief Minister Khattar, that young people comprehend and absorb the spirit of the Gita. They must also realise that this precious literature contains teachings for everyone, and that everyone who is familiar with it can learn a lot. Several efforts are being carried out as part of the International Gita Mahotsav. A Gita Jayanti Committee would be formed next year in order to increase the magnitude of the festival.
