American comedian Hasan Minhaj grabs headlines owing to his comments on Dax Shepard. It was about a year ago, back in December 2019 when in an interview with Vanity Fair Hasan rated Dax Shepard. Minhaj at that time was hooked up to a lie detector and asked if it bothered him that Shepard rated him 9 out of 10.

Post that, when the reporter asked him to rate Shepard, called the question "not fair," where he precisely responded with "6.57." When told that his rating was harsh, the comedian gave an epic reply while highlighting something pretty serious regarding the on-screen representation of actors of color as well as the white actors in Hollywood. The Patriot Act host explained, "Dax is part of a thing where, in show business, there's this whole movement of approachable white dudes whereas with, like, men of color, it's like Idris Elba, Henry Golding, Zayn Malik, or you work in IT. There's no middle."  Hasan went on to explain that in Hollywood, men of color are expected to look like a ripped form of Daniel Dae Kim holding a pencil between his pecs. "You gotta be Daniel Dae Kim ripped," He continued. "You can't ever have bread or cereal."  The viral clip ended with Hasan answering a loaded question: if he thinks he's better looking than Dax. Put in a tough position, the 29-year-old said, "Yes, but I will not get the same opportunities that Dax does."

The video blew up on Twitter recently, Hasan retweeted it on Monday, November 23, and writes, "Guys, I spoke too soon. I just Googled 'Dax Shepard shirtless' — my bad @daxshepard" with a facepalm emoji.
