After several accusations on social media, Hasina Jahan, wife of Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami, has filed a complaint against the latter at Lalbaazar Police station in Kolkata.

Hasina Jahan had accused Shami of assaulting her and cheating on her. She posted screenshots showing Whatsapp and Facebook chats of Mohammad Shami with many women.

“I have done everything he wanted me to do. He has assaulted me and is a big flirt. I’m not going to divorce him till my last breath. I have all the evidence and will soon drag him to the court,” said Jahan.

Mohammad Shami first took to Twitter and denied the allegations and has since maintained his stand of being innocent while terming the whole issue as a conspiracy against him to malign his image and ruin his cricket career. He even said that he would apologise to his wife if the allegations are proven true.

“All these allegations have been made against me without any basis. All these are outside my knowledge so I can't say about it now. We were living together and even celebrated Holi together and we also shopped together even after the South Africa tour,” said Shami.

BCCI renewed the central contracts with the players on Wednesday in which Shami was left out after the accusations.
