HD Kumaraswamy to meet Rahul , Sonia for finalizing cabinet and ministerial berth allocation

Bengaluru: With alliance of Congress and JD(S), Karnataka CM-elect HD Kumaraswamy would arrive in Delhi on Monday to meet Congress leaders Rahul and Sonia Gandhi for finalizing modalities of cabinet and ministerial berth allocation.

Earlier Karnataka Chief Minister-designate HD Kumaraswamy offered prayers at Lakshmi Narasimha Temple in Hassan.

Congress leaders from Karnataka will also land in Delhi on Monday to talk about with the high command, for the modalities in subject to the government formation in the state.

The grand old party Congress — which has the big share of MLAs(78) in the post-poll collition with JD(S) — will be poaching for a noteworthy number of ministries citing causes that it has sacrificed the top most CM post for Kumaraswamy, JD(S) too is not eager on going for a stiff bargain to take hold of more than 15 berths with 37 MLAs.

From JD(S)  party, seniors such as Deve Gowda, HD Revanna and GT Deve Gowda are likely to split the deal with Congress leaders Siddaramaiah, G Parameshwara, DK Shivakumar and KJ George.

It is noted that formar Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Parameshwara and other senior Congress leaders on Sunday met party MLAs camped at a city hotel and reportedly chat about the way ahead for the party in the process of government formation.

Clinching victory from the jaws of BJP‘s BS Yeddyurappa, who was sworn in as the Karnataka CM on Thursday and stepped down on Saturday Karnataka gave a fractured mandate, the Congress-JD(S) collation is not looking at a fulsome swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday according to sources .

HD Kumaraswamy is most expected to take office at 1.30pm on Wednesday, as set by his family astrologers.
