Mumbai: On Tuesday, launching a fresh personal attack against Narendra Modi, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar said the Prime Minister does not have any family. "He has no wife or children. How would he know about family?" Pawar remarked at a poll rally. "At least we have daughters, wives and relatives coming home. Unlike Modi who has no one. Like us, he has no experience of running a family. So I want to tell him to stop interfering in others' families," the NCP supremo said.
Here it is to be noted that in his speeches, PM Modi has been targeting dynastic politics in Maharashtra and specifically naming the Pawar family. This is Pawar's second personal attack against PM Modi in as many days. On Sunday, Pawar had said that the PM leads a lonely life and is not aware how a house runs. The Maharashtra strongman also warned the PM to "keep his nose out" of his family.
However it is worth mention here that Pawar said Modi was wasting energy by talking about his family but refusing to focus on issues like drought, farmers and unemployment. Pawar said at a rally in Beed district's Ashti "He targets me and my family quite often these days, but doesn't know how a family runs. It will be better if he keeps his nose out of my family,". He also slammed the PM for trying to take undue credit for the Balakot air strikes in Pakistan. It may be recalled that Pawar has refused to contest the Lok Sabha elections this year.
