Delhi: Head constable, his son arrested for trying unfair means in exam

NEW DELHI: Delhi Police head constable and his son got arrested for trying unfair means in SSC Delhi Police Constable Exam 2020. The exam was conducted in November last year. The father-son was held by the state police for making someone else appear on behalf of his son in the recruitment exam. Both father and son were made arrested on Sunday, following a complaint by the Staff Selection Commission.

The state police states that a complaint was received from SSC about a man appearing in place of a candidate for the constable recruitment exam. The senior officer said “The exam was being conducted in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, on November 27, 2020. The candidate who was to appear was Kashish (21), son of head constable Vineet who is deployed with the New Delhi railway station."

Soon after that, the case got registered with the Crime Branch, and an investigation was taken up by them. Investigations revealed that Vineet had arranged for a candidate from Hyderabad to appear in place of his son. Kashish, his son currently is pursuing B.Com from an open university.
