On Wednesday, more than 12 candidates experienced health issues during the second day of the Jharkhand excise constable physical efficiency test in Ranchi. Over a dozen candidates suffered from symptoms like vomiting and discomfort, though all received prompt medical attention and recovered quickly.

At the Jharkhand Jaguar test site in Ranchi, six candidates fainted. Five of them were treated with oxygen at a medical camp and later recovered. Suraj Kumar from Bhagalpur, Bihar, was taken to a district hospital but has since been discharged and is recovering well.

Jharkhand Jaguar SP noted that some candidates were briefly admitted to Sadar Hospital but were discharged soon after. However, Civil Surgeon Dr. Prabhat Kumar stated he had no official records of such admissions and would need to review the admission register to confirm.

Additionally, two candidates from Sahibganj, one from Ranchi Smart City, and one from Giridih were treated at local government hospitals. Reports confirm that all of these candidates recovered. Despite initial denials from state police regarding hospitalizations, it was later confirmed that candidates from Sahibganj and Giridih were indeed hospitalized but discharged after recovery.

At the Hazaribag centre, six candidates also fell ill. Dr. S.P. Singh, Civil Surgeon of Hazaribag, reported that a five-member medical team provided care, allowing all six to complete their 10 km run within the allotted time.

Additional Director General of Police RI Mallick mentioned that he has requested daily reports on hospitalizations from all testing centres but has not yet received the day's information.

The physical efficiency test is being conducted at six locations: Smart City Ranchi, Jharkhand Jaguar Ranchi, Police Line Giridih, Jharkhand Armed Police Training Centre Hazaribag, Constable Training Centre Musabani (East Singhbhum), and Jharkhand Armed Police-9 Sahibganj.
