New Delhi: Ways to avoid coronavirus infection are being explored all over the world. Meanwhile, quoting a report by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan has said that the Indian population is far away from the hard immunity. In fact, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday directed people to take precautions, citing the second report of the Sero survey.

Quoting the second report of the Sero survey, Dr Harsh Vardhan said, India's population is far from strong immunity. We should not be sluggish about the corona epidemic but should follow corona guidelines with seriousness. He also insisted on wearing masks at shrines. Speaking with his social media followers, Health Minister Harsh Vardhan said that according to indications from the second Sero survey of ICMR, the country has not yet developed a hard immunity.

He said ICMR is actively working on reports of people being found to be re-infected with the corona. However, the number of such cases is not equal at this moment. The government is fully capable of dealing with such cases. The first Sero survey report released in May revealed the prevalence of coronavirus spreading to only 0.73 percent across the country. According to a statement issued by the Health Ministry, Harsh Vardhan has cautioned that the Sero-survey report should not create a sense of complacency among the people.
