Mumbai: IED explosives planted by Naxals have been recovered from Kosambi forest in Gondia district of Maharashtra for a deadly attack on a police team. Police recovered IED explosives from the jungles of Kosambi in the Naxal-hit Chichgarh police station area of Gondia. These IED police teams were deployed to target them.
According to information, additional Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni had received information from the secret formula that naxals had concealed explosives for the purpose of ambushing them in the jungle of Kosambi. The search operation was conducted in the forest on September 27. The operation was attended by Superintendent of Police Vishwa Pansurrey and Additional Superintendent of Police Atul Kulkarni, C-60 Deori Commando Squad, BDDS Squad, Naxal Operation Cell Deori and Chichgarh Police Station Personnel.
During the search, the BDDS squad recovered some suspicious objects in the jungles between Kosambi-Dhanori. On detection, the team rushed to the spot and managed to get the IED out carefully. IED contains blue plastic drums, yellow and white explosive powder, super power gelatin, live electric detonators, iron pieces and fortresses, glass pieces, black, yellow electric batteries, pressure cookers, naxal sheets, electric wires.
