Patna: The number of corona patients in Bihar is increasing rapidly, while state health minister Mangal Pandey on Tuesday said there is no lockdown-like situation in the state. We are in a better position than other states. He said the government is working on a way to normalize the situation instead of lockdown.

In Patna, Mangal Pandey said that in view of the increasing cases of corona in many states of the country for the last one-and-a-half months, we had started preparations in the state. He said the Bihar government is on alert. Pandey further said, "The testing and health care facility of corona patients has been increased. Recently, the number of investigations had gone up to 20,000 in a day, which we have increased to 75,000. Corona investigations are taking place every day, but the government is working on the target of 1 lakh daily investigations."

Mangal Pandey said the number of beds in hospitals has been increased. Replying to a question on lockdown after the increasing number of corona patients in Bihar, he said, "The number of patients here is less than in other states. Things haven't been the case in Bihar yet. The number of corona patients in Bihar is currently under control, so the Bihar government is not considering the lockdown yet. The government is working on how to fix the situation instead of lockdown."
