New Delhi: A top official of the Union Health Ministry said that no ministry has issued any guidelines for wearing masks while driving a car or riding a bicycle. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan said in the press conference that, "However, If someone is exercising, cycling or walking in a group, then one should wear a mask and follow social distancing so that the infection does not spread to each other".

Amidst growing cases of Corona in the country, a large number of people have complained that they are being invoiced for not wearing masks while driving their cars. In response to a question about the need to wear a mask while driving a car or a bicycle, Bhushan clarified that "There is no guideline from the Ministry of Health on wearing a mask while riding a car or cycling".

On the other hand, new records are being made every day in new cases of Coronavirus in the country. 84,156 new cases have been registered in the last 24 hours in the country. 1,083 people have died. Now the total number of corona infected has reached 40 lakhs in the country. Earlier, the highest number of cases in the country were reported on September 3, 83,883 new patients were found on this day.
