Coimbatore, Today, a 55-year murder convict, died due to heart attack in the Central Prison. Godasamy killed 5 members of his uncle's family in 1984 due to property disputes in Erode district.
Today, early morning he had complained of chest pain and vomitted blood .
As per police, "After first aid at the prison hospital, he was rushed to the government medical college hospital here, where doctors declared him brought dead".
Murder convict was awarded death sentence by the Madras High Court in September 1997 after a prolonged trial.
