Lucknow: Due to increasing crime and incidents, more and more new issues of CAA and NRC are coming up. On the other hand, the Lucknow administration on Sunday presented its stand in the High Court in the case of photo of people who damaged private and government property in CAA protests in Lucknow. The High Court has taken automatic cognizance of this as a violation of the right to privacy. Despite a holiday on Sunday, March 8, 2020, a special bench of Chief Justice Govind Mathur and Justice Ramesh Sinha heard this. After the completion of the hearing, the court has reserved its decision. It will be recited at 2 pm on Monday, March 9.

According to the information received, the court sought an explanation from the DM and the Divisional Police Commissioner of Lucknow about the law under which they have pasted photographs in public places. During the hearing on Sunday, Advocate General Raghavendra Singh objected to the PIL saying that this action has been taken to discourage those who have damaged public and private property during the demonstration.

The people whose photographs have been taken are those who violate the law. Notices were also sent to the court after adopting the entire investigation and procedure. No one is coming forward, so their photos have been pasted in public place. It is also being said that the Advocate General had said that the government's step is lawful and no law has been violated in doing so. He said that such cases should not be interfered through public interest litigation. The government's action is to curb incidents of violence and sabotage. He also presented the views of several judicial orders, favoring the government.
