Lalu's family to file CBI chargesheet in cash-for-land scam case today

Patna: The hearing in the land-for-job scam case is going to be held today in Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court. Earlier the hearing was held on 2 November. In which the accused party had appealed to give time for scrutiny. The court had also given the date of November 29 for hearing. Before which i.e. on 2nd November, the passports of all the accused in this case including Lalu and Rabri were deposited in the court. In today's hearing, the accused party may demand return of the passport. Besides, the accused party can also reply to the charge sheet. 

Actually, CBI had filed a charge sheet in the land-for-jobs scam case. In which 17 people including Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, former CM Rabri Devi and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav were made accused. After which, in the hearing on October 16, the court gave relief to Lalu family. He was exempted from appearing in every hearing by the court. The court had also given permission to Tejashwi Yadav to go abroad on an official tour. At the same time, the court had granted bail to Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi and Tejashwi Yadav on a personal bond of Rs 50 thousand. 

Know, what is job in exchange for land scam?: Vijay Singla, nephew of Pawan Bansal, who was Railway Minister in the UPA government, has also been accused of another scam related to railway recruitment. In the case also, CBI has registered an FIR against 10 people including Vijay Singla. Vijay Singla is also accused of money laundering in this case. Lalu Prasad Yadav was the Railway Minister in the UPA government between 2004 and 2009. It is alleged that a scam took place in railway recruitment when Lalu was the Railway Minister. It is being said that land and plots were taken from the applicants in exchange for providing jobs. CBI, after investigation in this matter, registered a case against Lalu Prasad Yadav and his daughter Misa Bharti. It is alleged that the lands which were taken were also taken in the name of Rabri Devi and Misa Bharti.
