Gwalior: A case related to the MP MLA court in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh is in the news these days. In fact, in the case of illegal arms purchase, the police made former Railway Minister and former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav a convict. The MP MLA court also issued an arrest warrant against former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, considering him a criminal. The special thing is that the responsible officers did not confirm that he was Lalu Prasad Yadav or someone else by the same name.

The hearing was being held in the MP MLA court set up to hear MPs, ministers, and MLAs because the matter is related to former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav, which was not the case in reality. This happened because of similar names. Shockingly, the government lawyer, in this case, is still not ready to accept that this case is not related to former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav. Advocate Abhishek Sharma, representing Kanpur-based criminal Vishnu Kanodia, has claimed that former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav has nothing to do with the case.

He said that only Lalu Prasad Yadav Bihar is written in the challan, this does not prove that the matter is related to the former CM. If this was the case, Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, would have been arrested. In 1997, Chaturvedi, a gun seller in Gwalior, had lodged a complaint at Inderganj police station alleging that Rajkumar Sharma, another arms dealer in Mahoba town of Uttar Pradesh, fraudulently purchased arms and ammunition from three Gwalior-based firms and sold them in Bihar within two years.

Among the persons to whom these weapons were sold, one person's name was Lalu Prasad Yadav and his father's name was Kundraka Singh Yadav. While former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav's father's name is Kundan Rai, the police and the court accepted that former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav had bought these weapons. The incident took place between 1995 and 1997. Two dozen convicts were made in this case, out of which six are being tried in court. Two criminals have died while 14 people are on the run so far. Lalu Prasad Yadav was also declared an absconder by the court in 1998. Those named in the case are Sunil Shukla, Kamalkant, Vishnu, Ravikant, Anil Kumar, Sunil Kumar Brijmohan, Surendra Singh, Lalu Prasad Yadav, Shashikant, Murari Lal Sharma, JP Yadav, Musa Mian, Mohan Soni, Upendra Kumar, Ranjit Kumar, Kanhaiyalal Krishnanand, Shravan Sharma, Janardan Sharma, Badal, and Sujit. Brijmohan and Surendra have died. Among the weapons procured were 16 rifles of 315 bore, 20 rifles of 12 bore double barrels, more than 20,000 cartridges of NP bore rifles, 7500 cartridges of 12 bore gun, 1500 cartridges of 32 bore revolvers, and 250 cartridges of 25 bore pistol. The cartridges were told. In 1998, the police presented a challan in the case of Lalu Prasad Yadav, in which his father's name is Kundrika Singh, while the former CM's father's name is Kundan Rai.
