New Delhi: The largest court in the country today adjourned the hearing on the issue of farmers tractor rally on January 26. The matter will now be heard on January 20. The petition was filed in the court on behalf of the Delhi Police. During the hearing, the apex court said the government should take a decision on it first.

The country's Chief Justice (CJI) SA Boelder said the case is with the police, we will not decide on it. The court has indicated that the administration should take the first decision on the subject of farmers coming to Delhi. The apex court has said that the police has to decide on the permission to perform at Ramlila Maidan. The court also said that the police will decide how many people will come to the city. The Chief Justice said whether the court will now have to explain what power the government has under the Police Act. The apex court will now hear the matter on Wednesday.

During the hearing today, the Chief Justice sat with two different judges. As the hearing began, CJI Boelder said that we will hear the hearing in the same bench which heard the case first. Our meddling has been misunderstood.
