Dehradun: Due to lack of proper arrangements in view of changing weather patterns and increasing number of devotees, the state government has stopped the Kedarnath Yatra till May 3. Along with this, registration for Kedarnath at Rishikesh's registration counter has been stopped, so that the crowd of devotees can be managed. Let us tell you that there has been heavy snowfall in Kedarnath today i.e. on Monday.

Additional Commissioner Garhwal Administration Narendra Singh Kuriyal has informed that due to faith in Baba Kedarnath, a large number of devotees are reaching Kedarnath Dham. Due to lack of proper arrangements for the devotees in the Dham and due to bad weather, they are facing a lot of problems to stay. In view of the warnings of the Meteorological Department, due to the possibility of heavy rain and snowfall, the Tourism Department has banned the registration for Kedarnath Yatra till May 3.

Registration Officer of Rishikesh Transit Camp Premanand Vyas has informed that a large number of devotees are reaching the registration counter for the visit to Baba Kedarnath Dham. In view of the prevailing weather conditions, the passengers are being informed and instructed to register for Kedarnath pilgrimage after May 3. Along with this, after May 3, the tourism department will decide the date for the visit of Baba Kedarnath.
