Lucknow: The Muslim side has received a jolt from the Allahabad High Court on the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah dispute in Mathura. In fact, the High Court has rejected the petition of Shahi Idgah Trust and Sunni Waqf Board and along with it has asked the District Judge of Mathura to hear the whole matter afresh. This order of the High Court has come on Monday (May 1, 2023).

In fact, a petition was filed in the Mathura District Court on behalf of Lord Krishna Virajman. In this petition, a demand was made to declare the entire land of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah in the name of Shri Krishna Virajman. Accepting this petition, the District Court had decided to start the trial. Shahi Idgah and UP Sunni Central Waqf Board had moved the High Court against this decision.

While giving the decision on this, Justice Prakash Padia of Allahabad High Court has said that the decision in this matter has already come, it cannot be interfered with. Along with this, the court has ordered the Mathura District Court to start the hearing of the case afresh. Explain that due to the petition of Shahi Idgah and Sunni Waqf Board, the Allahabad High Court had stayed the case filed in the Mathura court on behalf of Lord Krishna Virajman. However, this ban has also been lifted after the court's decision. But, now the Mathura district court will once again have to hear the claims of both the parties from the beginning.

What is the matter?

This case of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi is similar to that of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi of Ayodhya. It is claimed that Lord Krishna is seated here and the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb had demolished the temple here and got the mosque constructed here. At the same time, the Muslim side is opposing this. This whole dispute is related to the ownership of 13.37 acres of land. At present Lord Shri Krishna Virajman has the ownership of 10.9 acres of land. The rest of the land is occupied by the Shahi Idgah.

Regarding this, a case was filed in the Mathura court on behalf of Lord Krishna Virajman. In this case, a demand was made to repeal the decision of 20 July 1973 and declare 13.37 acres of land in the name of Sri Krishna Virajman instead of Katra Keshav Dev. Shri Krishna Virajman said that there was an agreement between the two parties regarding the land. The award given in the year 1973 on the basis of the above agreement is not applicable in it, as it was not a party at that time.
