Famous actress of Indian cinema, Helen Zairag Richardson was born on this day. She was born on 21 November 1938 in Burma. Her father was Anglo Indian and mother Burmese. She has a brother Roger and sister Jennifer. Her father died during the second world war. After the death of her father, her family settled in India in the year 1943.
Helen has done her studies in Kolkata but she could not study much because her mother did not have much income, so she gave up her studies at a very young age. Helen had two marriages. She was first married to film director PN Arora at the age of 16, their marriage lasted for sixteen years, after which the two divorced. Helen then met screenwriter Salim Khan. Although Salim was already married, he gave her the status of a second wife. She adopted Arpita after marriage.
