Here is what Madhuri Dixit said on the failure of Kalank, read on

Dhak Dhak Girl  Madhuri Dixit’s last fim Kalank. poorly at the box office and was not received well by the audience. The multi-starrer period drama also featured Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sonakshi Sinha. The big film was made on a massive budget of Rs 150 crores.

 In an interview with Mid-Day, Madhuri said, "I have been in the industry for more than three decades. Ups and downs are a part and parcel of our work. So, it doesn't bother me much when a film doesn't work." She further added, "No one goes to the sets to do a half-hearted job. But in the end, certain things aren't in our control. We have to move on. The film was received well overseas."

Besides Kalank, Madhuri was also seen in Indra Kumar's Total Dhamaal alongside Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn and Arshad Warsi earlier this year. Soon, the actress will begin her musical career as she will be launching her English album with six tracks. The beauty will also be judging the show Dance Deewane season 2 beside Tushar Kalia and Shashank Khaitan.

Kalank is directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios. It stars Madhuri Dixit, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt.
