Here's how Mumbai Police bans public gathering till 11 June

MUMBAI: Mumbai Police has restricted gatherings of 5 or more people in the city, as part of its routine preventive order for the city. 

 Vishal Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Ploce (Operations), Brihan Mumbai, issued a formal statement. The citywide prohibition on gathering will last until June 11, 2023.

The use of loudspeakers, musical instruments, and the setting off of fireworks during any procession have all been prohibited by the Mumbai police until June 11.

The following situations are exempt from the order's prohibition:

The marriage ceremony and related events

Funeral procession gatherings and marches to cemeteries or crematoriums

Statutory meetings of  clubs, societies, companies and associations

Groups gathered in and around theatres, movie theatres, or other public entertainment venues to watch films, plays, or shows

Assemblies in and around governmental and semi-governmental offices, courts, and municipal bodies for the performance of their respective duties

Assemblies for regular trade, business, and callings in factories, stores, and other establishments

In conclusin, Mumbai Police  issued prohibitory orders restricting the movement and unlawful assembly of 5 or more people in public places in expectation  of breach of peace, disturbance to public tranquility and danger to human lives. It said the order will remain in force in the city till June 11.
