Vehicle manufacturer Hero MotoCorp launched the new scooter Maestro Edge 125 in May. It was launched in three variants (drum brakes, disc brakes and fuel injected). If prices go up, the drum brake variant of the Maestro Edge 125 is Rs 59 thousand, the disc brake variant is Rs 60,500 and the fuel injected variant is Rs 63,200. These prices are of ex-showroom. The new scooter prices have been updated on Hero MotoCorp's website. The company has not given any specific reason for the price hike, but it is likely that Hero may have taken this step due to the cost hike.The Maastro Edge is the country's first scooter to come in 125 fuel injected variants. The styling of the scooter is sharp and sporty. The company has designed it keeping young buyers in mind. The scooter features an external fuel-filler cap and digital analog instrument cluster. It also features an indicator for side stand and service and a mobile charging port.

The company has provided a telescopic fork on the front of the scooter and a monoshock suspension at the rear. The front veal is 12-inch and the rear veal is 10-inch. The Scooter 4 Matte Finish is available in Color Options- Blue, Brown, Grey and Red. It comes with Hero's Start-Stop System (Hero i3S) for better mileage. The new scooter is powered by a 125cc engine. In the fuel injected variant of the scooter, the engine produces 9.1hp at 7,000rpm and 10.2Nm of peak torque at 5,000rpm. The engine produces 8.7hp at 6,750rpm and 10.2Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The Hero scooter is rivaled by scooters such as the TVS Antirk 125, Honda Grazia and Aprilia SR 125.
