Khammam: The Telangana High Court has said yesterday that 'there should be no acquisition of the land in the name of God as God is not above the law'. In fact, on Thursday, the High Court has heard the petition filed by Alika Anjaya, Principal Secretary of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, regarding the land acquisition of TTD Klayan Pavilion in Khammam.

During this time, the petitioner told the court that, '12-fold land of TTD is being taken'. In response, the government cited the TTD as having 12 folds of additional land. Meanwhile, Khammam Corporation also told the court that TTD is also trying to grab the land adjacent to it. At the same time, when the court heard the arguments of both the parties, it declared the PIL as suspicious.

After that, the court asked 'why has the TTD remained silent on taking back the land'. Further, the court said that 'there may be TTD behind this PIL.' During this time, the court, while expressing the possibility of encroachment of TTD on government land, ordered the handing over of documents related to land, lease, etc. to the court and adjourned the next hearing till September 8.
