Varanasi: Hillary Clinton, wife of former US President Bill Clinton and former US Secretary of State, is visiting India these days. Hillary reached Kashi (Varanasi), the city of Baba Vishwanath located in Uttar Pradesh today i.e. Friday (February 10). After reaching here, she enjoyed Ganga Aarti through a barge (a type of small boat). From the Ganga Ghat to sitting in the boat, Hillary shook hands with the people she met on the way. After boarding the boat, she also took photographs of the Ganga Ghat in Kashi and also took photographs with the people aboard the boat.

While roaming in Varanasi, the former President's wife said, 'I am very excited to come to Kashi. I have never been here before, so I want to take a lot of experiences from Kashi with me. Hillary has reached Varanasi on a 3-day visit. She started the journey from Namo Ghat. On Thursday night, she had dinner at the Brijrama Palace Hotel, situated on the banks of the Ganga Ghat, and then went to Hotel Taj for the night. Here Hillary also met the women of the voluntary organization. Let us tell you that in the next two days of her visit to India, Hillary is also scheduled to visit Ramnagar and Sarnath, the place where Lord Buddha preached.

In relation to her visit, she tweeted, 'I am in India for the last few days. I have come here to celebrate the 50th anniversary of an NGO working for women and to see the legacy of my friend Ela Bhatt.' Ela Bhatt was a social worker honored with Padma Bhushan, who died on 2 November 2022 at the age of 89. She did many things for the upliftment of women. She kept propagating Gandhian ideology from the beginning.
