Shimla: Voting for the Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh is underway today. Voting began at 8 am and will continue till 5 pm. BJP national president JP Nadda casts his vote along with his family in the Bilaspur assembly constituency. After casting his vote, Nadda said he was fortunate to have got the opportunity to come here. Along with this, the BJP chief appealed to all the people to vote.  

Nadda said he was queuing up to vote, but people gave him a chance to vote first. However, he refrained from making any promises or claims at the time of voting. At the same time, Congress MP Anand Sharma also went to vote at Sainik Rest House Longwood in Shimla polling station. During this, he claimed that the people of the state will win Congress by giving maximum votes.

Let us tell you that 412 candidates are in the fray in 68 seats of the state in a single phase. With this, the election results will be released on December 8. There are a total of 55,92,828 voters in the state. Of these, 28,54,945 are male and 27,37,845 are female voters. Not only this, but apart from this, a total of 38 third genders will also vote.
