Shimla: Demonstrating a commitment to digital innovation in governance and public service enhancement, the Himachal Pradesh government has clinched two esteemed accolades at the recent 12th Digital Transformation Conclave and Awards 2023 held in Leh.

Hosted by GovConnect in partnership with the Information Technology Department of Ladakh's Union Territory, the event spotlighted exceptional contributions to Government Sector Digital Transformation.

Abhishek Jain, Secretary (Digital Technologies and Governance) and Secretary to the Chief Minister, proudly accepted both awards on behalf of the State. These honors reflect the state's dedication to harnessing digital technologies for advancing governance and public welfare.

The awards lauded the Mukhya Mantri Seva Sankalp Helpline-1100 and the HimParivar Project, initiatives operating under the Department of Digital Technologies and Governance (DT&G).

CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu extended congratulations to DT&G, emphasizing these accolades as testament to the government's pursuit of digital transformation. "Our state continuously establishes benchmarks in utilizing technology for governance and public well-being, positioning itself as a pioneer in digital advancement," stated Sukhu.

The Mukhya Mantri Seva Sankalp Helpline-1100 acts as a centralized platform for public grievance redressal in the State. It has significantly streamlined the process, offering citizens an accessible and user-friendly mechanism to file complaints via toll-free numbers, web, and mobile applications.

To date, the platform has addressed 6,04,557 complaints across 90 departments involving 10,000 officers. Impressively, 98 percent (5,93,693) of these complaints have been successfully resolved, with 70 percent (4,25,067) achieving citizen satisfaction—a remarkable feat among similar grievance redressal helplines nationwide.

Moreover, the CM Helpline integrates with various services like 181 Women Helpline, HRTC Helpline, 1077 Disaster Response, GST Helpline, Drug De-addiction Counseling, etc., to function as a centralized call center for the state. Plans are underway to introduce a WhatsApp chatbot to further expand the CM Helpline's outreach.

Simultaneously, the HimParivar Project serves as an Entitlement-based management system, aiming to create an integrated state social registry. This forward-thinking initiative leverages citizen socio-economic data to facilitate access to eligible government services and benefits via a unified interface.

The project also functions as a data repository, furnishing insights for effective decision-making and policy formulation in future government programs.
