Shimla: The International Shivratri Festival is being organized in Mandi in the Congress-ruled state of Himachal Pradesh. But, the presentation of artists in this religious festival has created a controversy. On the first day of the program (February 19), Sufi artists sang 'Allah Hu' from the stage. Along with this, other artists also presented such Bollywood songs, due to which questions are being raised on the Congress government of the state. Social media users including BJP are also objecting to this.

In fact, the team of Sabri Brothers i.e. Aftab Sabri and Hashim Sabri was invited to the International Mahashivratri Festival organized by the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government of the state. Sabri Brothers presented 'Allah Hu Allah Hu' Qawwali from the stage. During this, the state CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu was also present there. Besides Sabri Brothers, local artists presented Pahari, Punjabi and other folk songs. Singer Rakhi Gautam from Bilaspur sang Bollywood songs like 'Baanho Mein Chale Aao, Ladka Aankh Marey, Saat Samundar Paar and Ishq Di Galli Witch No Entry' at the International Shivratri Festival.

Now questions have been raised on the singing of 'Allah Hu' in the festival organized in the name of Mahashivratri. Himachal Pradesh BJP tweeted, 'After winning the election, Congress leaders had said that we have defeated Hindutva, is this act a proof of that? What does the Congress want to prove by singing the qawwali of 'Allah Hu' in the Devbhoomi where the Hindu population is 97 percent, where Shivratri is of international standard, which is called Chhoti Kashi?' Himachal BJP has said in another tweet that 'Our protest is not against any religion but against the stage where this has been done in Hindu festival. The state Congress government should apologize for hurting Hindu sentiments.

Social media users have also objected to the presentations given during the International Shivratri Festival. A Twitter user named Mr. Sinha tweeted the video of the 'Allah Hu' performance and wrote, "Believe me, this is not a Qawwali event, but the opening ceremony of the 'International Shivratri Festival' held in Himachal Pradesh."

One user wrote sarcastically that enjoy the Shivratri festival organized by the state government in Mandi, Himachal. Himachali people chose 'Allah Hu' instead of 'Om Namah Shivay' for the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) and 300 units of free electricity. Let us tell you that this festival, which lasts for 7 days, will run till 24 February 2023.
