Amidst the threat and panic of the new variant of Corona (covid-19), there has been huge and good news from Himachal Pradesh. In fact, here the State has secured the first position in the country by giving the second dose of covid vaccine to eligible (adult) citizens. Himachal Pradesh has achieved this target last Saturday.

Immunization of all eligible adults in this State has been completed. Let me tell you that Himachal Pradesh was also the first state to administer the first dose of vaccination earlier. The state government says that all the eligible 53,86,393 adults in the state have been given a second dose of the vaccine. Himachal Pradesh is also the first state in the country to give the first dose of vaccine to the adult population, which achieved this feat only in August and has established a new standard in administering both the vaccines in early December.

A special programme is now being organized to felicitate Covid-19 workers at AIIMS in Bilaspur, the state. BJP National President JP Nadda and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya are attending the function. It is said that certificates will also be issued to health workers who have played an important role in the immunization of citizens.
