Jaipur:  Ahead of the Rajasthan Assembly elections scheduled for November 25, political rallies intensify, accompanied by leaders' fiery rhetoric. Both the BJP and Congress are confidently predicting their victories while openly accusing each other. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, campaigning for the elections, targeted the Congress, openly declaring his engagement in Hindu politics.

Bold Assertion of Hindu Politics

Sarma unapologetically proclaimed his involvement in Hindu politics, stating that being Hindu signifies receiving everyone's support and trust in the country. He defended Hindu politics, emphasizing that if Hindu means Indian, there should be no issue with engaging in Hindu politics. He challenged the Congress, asserting that they are Hindus and will continue to be Hindus.

Comparative Critique of Rajasthan and Assam

Earlier, Sarma, in a rally in Pratapgarh, made a comparative critique of the economic and geographical conditions of Rajasthan and Assam. He alleged systematic looting in Rajasthan and drew a comparison with Assam, where the BJP government provides petrol at a lower cost. Sarma criticized the Congress, highlighting the disparity in fuel prices and questioning their commitment to the poor.

Renewed Call to Close Madrasas

Sarma reiterated his stance on closing madrasas, particularly those receiving government funds and salaries. He proposed the closure of madrasas with government salaries, emphasizing that community-run madrasas should also be regulated. Sarma argued for ensuring facilities under the Right to Education for students and cautioned against madrasas becoming institutions that produce religious leaders. In the run-up to the elections, such bold statements and critiques from leaders add fervor to the political landscape, setting the stage for a closely watched electoral battle.
