The Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), India's second-largest petroleum product pipeline network, has announced 186 job openings at its Visakhapatnam refinery. Technicians, lab analyzers, and safety inspectors are among the positions listed.
There are 94 Operations Technician vacancies, 18 Boiler Technician jobs, 18 Junior Fire and Safety Inspector vacancies, 16 Lab Analyst vacancies, 17 Maintenance Technicians (Electrical), 14 Maintenance Technicians (Mechanical), and 9 Maintenance Technicians vacancies (Instrumentation).
Candidates must have passed qualifying examinations in relevant disciplines through full-time regular courses recognised by the respective State Board or applicable competent authority for all positions, with the Minimum Educational Qualification being that candidates must have passed qualifying examinations in relevant disciplines through full-time regular courses recognised by the respective State Board or applicable competent authority. Candidates with part-time or distance education will not be considered.
"Except for Junior Fire and Safety Inspector positions, candidates (from the General, EWS, and OBC-NC categories) must have obtained a minimum of 60% (aggregated across all semesters/years) in qualifying diploma/degree examinations, which is relaxed to 50% (aggregate across all semesters/years) for SC/ST/PwBD candidates," according to the official note.
Candidates must also be at least 18 years old and under the age of 25. (as of April 1, 2022).
On April 22, 2022, the online application portal began accepting applications, and the deadline to apply is May 21, 2022.
The jobs would be based at the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited Visakh Refinery in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam area. On a cost-to-company basis, the salary for all available posts would be a minimum of Rs 55,000/- per month (Pay Scale Rs 26,000 to Rs 76,000).
