Hisar court acquitted 'Rampal' convicted in murder cases, know the whole matter

Hisar: The Hisar court has ordered the acquittal of 5 persons, including Satlok Ashram operator Rampal. The court's decision is on a drug and cosmetic case related to the riots case at Sant Lok Ashram in Barwala. The court, while hearing the case, has decided to acquit five accused including Rampal. Satlok Ashram operators Rampal and Rajendra are currently in custody. Vijender and Baljeet were on bail while other accused Omprakash has passed away in the case.

In 2006, there was a dispute over Rampal's Barwala Ashram in Hisar. One person died during this time. Rampal's supporters had filed a complaint in Hisar court due to which the police had registered a case against his supporters and the matter reached the high court.  This was followed by a dispute over occupation in Karotha village in 2013, in which two groups were beaten up. In the meantime, two people lost their lives. He had to appear before the court in case of death.

The court had issued a non-bailable warrant against Rampal in November 2014 and ordered Rampal to appear before the court on November 10. Rampal's supporters than did not allow him to appear before the court as ill.  On November 19, when the police wanted to arrest Rampal, supporters clashed with the police. It stabbed 6 people. The police had vacated the ashram on November 20 and taken possession of it. On October 11, 2018, 22 people, including Rampal, were found guilty in murder cases. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in the case. While the sedition case is still being heard in court.
