In a historic moment that marks the end of a 500-year wait, the life of Shri Ramlala has been consecrated in the sanctum sanctorum of the magnificent Ra Mangri temple in Ayodhya. The city, known as one of the Saptapuris, has been adorned like a radiant bride with thousands of quintals of flowers to commemorate the presence of Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram in his divine temple.

The consecration ceremony, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi, members of the Sant Samaj, and various VIPs, witnessed the completion of the ritual for Shri Vigrah of Ram Lalla. Fourteen pairs of hosts played a crucial role in this significant event. Starting from January 23, the temple will be open for common devotees to visit.

The noteworthy aspect is the creation of the historical statue of Lord Rama by the renowned sculptor Arun Yogiraj from Mysore. The 51-inch statue, installed in the sanctum sanctorum on January 18, captured the attention of Ram devotees worldwide. Today, their eyes are fixed on the grand event as their beloved idol takes its rightful place.

Around 8,000 individuals received invitations for the event, with 506 distinguished guests making the select list. This exclusive group includes prominent figures such as politicians, industrialists, film stars, athletes, diplomats, judges, and religious leaders. To mark this special occasion, the Centre granted a half-day off to all government employees, including those in the Public Sector Banks. Many states have also followed suit by declaring a public holiday.

The consecration ceremony took place following the initial phase of the temple's construction, made possible by a Supreme Court judgment in 2019 regarding the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit. Hindu litigants contended that the Babri Mosque was built on the grounds of a temple, which was believed to be the birthplace of Lord Ram. In 1992, the 16th-century mosque was demolished by "kar sevaks."

ollowing the morning rituals, the Prime Minister is scheduled to reach the venue. At 1 pm, he, along with other special guests, will address the nation and the global audience, marking the culmination of this joyous occasion.
