Islamabad: Baloch leader Hyrbyair Marri, head of the Free Balochistan Movement (FBM), criticized the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) on social media for its historical military actions against the Baloch people. Marri pointed to military operations dating back to the 1970s and the implementation of what he termed the "Kill and Dump" policy in 2009 during PPP governance.

"Throughout history, #PPP has conducted military operations against the #Baloch people in the 1970s and initiated the Kill and Dump policy in 2009. Despite periodic apologies, every time they return to power, they resume military operations against the Baloch," Marri posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Expressing concern over former President Asif Ali Zardari's recent visit to Balochistan, Marri warned of potential future military actions. "Now #AsifZardari is in #Balochistan discussing security. I foresee another intense military operation against Balochistan. But the Baloch people are prepared to confront the #Pakistani #Punjabi army," he added in another social media update.

In an official statement, the FBM emphasized, "Besides Punjab's military terrorism, Pakistan's political, economic, and social presence in Balochistan has ceased." The statement affirmed the resilience of the Baloch independence movement, asserting, "Despite severe state repression, the Punjabi army cannot suppress the Baloch movement, which enjoys widespread public support."

This ongoing conflict highlights the persistent struggle for independence in Balochistan, underscoring its profound implications for regional stability and the future of the Baloch people.
