Four matches, including the bronze clash of the Indian Men's Hockey team, which won a historic medal at the Tokyo Olympics, have joined the international hockey federation (FIH) this year in the race for the 2021 most loved match award.

FIH is providing hockey lovers with the opportunity to choose last year's most loved match through a survey. The Indian team defeated Germany 5-4 in Tokyo to clinch the bronze medal after 41 years. That match has also been nominated for the award.

Let us tell you that two matches of the Indian Women's team have also been nominated. These include a 1-0 win over world number two Australia in the Tokyo Olympics quarterfinals and a 3-4 loss to Britain in the bronze playoffs. The junior hockey team's first match of the World Cup against France is also in the steering, in which India lost 4-5. Voting is scheduled to end on January 10.
