New Delhi: Google celebrates Holi with Red, yellow, blue, and green doodle - with a very colourful DoodleGoogle to mark the festival of colours, on Friday,
The doodle depicts people dancing to the beats of the drums which are a significant element of the festivities.
The colorful Doodle which is crreated by Amrita Marino depicts dhol players amongst a cloud of colour. These traditional drummers move from house to house, adding a peppy, musical touch to the day's festivities. The four main colours - red, yellow, blue and green – are the symbol of peace, Power, Prosperity and Positivity. Red signifies love and fertility with power; yellow is the colour of turmeric which signify peace, blue represents the beloved Krishna along with positivity and green symbolizes spring and new beginnings with prosperity.
The historic festive ritual marks the end of winter and welcome the coming of spring, and symbolically celebrates the triumph of good over evil.
According to mythological stories Holi represents the story of the death of Holika, the sister of a king named Hiranyakashipu who had fallen to her own trap set to kill his nephew Prahlad who is said to be saved by Lord Krishna as the putting end over went on rule of the kingdom of 'Daityas'.
