Hollywood's beloved actor and comedian, Rebel Wilson, recently shared some heartfelt details about the journey of crafting her memoir, 'Rebel Rising,' set to hit bookshelves on April 2. Wilson, in an Instagram story, gave fans a sneak peek into her book-signing process, expressing her dedication to signing thousands of pages for the initial buyers.
"This is how I'm spending my nights on my holidays," Wilson shared in the clip, signing pages while eagerly anticipating readers' reactions. "Just another few thousand to go for the first people that buy the book."
Expressing her excitement about the upcoming memoir, Wilson teased, "You guys, I mean, I can't wait for you to read this. You're going to see a whole new side of me. Lots of funny stuff and serious stuff... And hopefully, you guys will love the book as much as I've loved writing it--although sometimes it's been gut-wrenching and emotional."
With a determined spirit, she added, "Four thousand more to go. Let's go."
'Rebel Rising' delves into Wilson's unique journey in Hollywood, shedding light on personal challenges encompassing fertility, weight, sexuality, and more.
In an earlier interview with People in October, Wilson described the daunting yet thrilling experience of penning her memoir, revealing, "I've been writing the book for the past 18 months because when I write, I have to be totally by myself and isolated. It's just been this secret thing I've been doing by myself for 18 months. It's so exciting now that it's done."
Reflecting on the initial struggle to find her authentic voice in the book, Wilson admitted, "I think the first few chapters were really rough. Then the editor was like, 'This just doesn't sound like you.' So what I started doing is I just sat there by myself as if I'm just telling the story to a friend... as if I'm sitting opposite my friend, telling you all my life's deepest secrets, which is a bit scary."
Recently, Wilson celebrated her daughter Royce Lillian's first birthday. Sharing glimpses of the joyous occasion on her Instagram story, she showcased her fiancée Ramona Agruma alongside baby Royce, surrounded by a mermaid-themed cake and balloons. Royce was welcomed via surrogate in November 2022. Wilson and Agruma, 39, got engaged in February following their public confirmation of their relationship in June 2022, as reported by the People.
