Home Minister Amit Shah holds a meeting on 'Air Storm'

New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has held a high-level meeting to review the preparedness of concerned State and central ministries and agencies to deal with the situation arising out of Cyclone Storm ' Vayu '. In the meantime, he instructed the senior officers to find possible measures to ensure the same.

Storms further escalate in Gujarat

As per the information received from the sources, Indian Coast Guard, Navy, Army and Air Force units have been deployed for surveillance. Earlier, the Indian Meteorological Department said on Tuesday that the cyclonic storm "Vayu" has intensified due to the low-pressure area being created in the Arabian Sea. According to the department, the storm is now moving towards Gujarat. The coastal areas of Gujarat are under threat of cyclone.

Next 24 hours important

With this, according to a bulletin issued by the Meteorological Department on Tuesday, the air is likely to reach Porbandar and Kutch region on June 13 due to the rapid rise in the area of low air pressure in the remote sea. The Department expressed the possibility of a more severe cyclonic storm in the next 24 hours, saying that the "air" that moves northward will affect the region from Porbandar to Mahuva, Veraval and Diu in the coastal areas of Gujarat on June 13 morning.
