Flood and rain disrupt MP, Amit Shah asks Shivraj to visit state

Bhopal: Heavy rain and floods continue to wreak havoc in Madhya Pradesh. Shivpuri, Sheopur, Datia, Gwalior Bhind of Lear-Chambal division as well as 1,171 villages in Rewa district have also been affected by floods. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has sought information from CM Shivraj about the flood situation in the state. Home Minister Amit Shah has held detailed phone discussions with CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan on the flood situation.

CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has briefed Union Home Minister Amit Shah about the current flood situation in the state and rescue operations in flood-affected areas. Shivraj Singh Chouhan has thanked Home Minister Amit Shah for the central government's support in reusing people. Amit Shah assured CM Shivraj that the Centre is with Madhya Pradesh and that wherever necessary, there will be full cooperation by the Centre in rescuing the people.

Earlier PM Modi had also taken stock of the situation. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan also spoke about the ongoing rescue operation in the state. CM Shivraj told PM Modi that the rescue team has rescued more than 2,000 people safely. CM Shivraj also discussed with PM Modi for military assistance. PM Modi assured all possible help to the state during the talks.
