Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Pakistan PM Imran Khan has decided to rent out the Prime Minister's Residence in Islamabad. Imran Khan had earlier vowed to convert the building into an education center. But, now they have decided to rent it out for fashion, cultural and educational programs.

According to media reports, the decision has been taken by Pakistan's federal cabinet. In this regard, he has constituted two Committees to uphold the 'decoration' and 'discipline' of PM house during these events. Talking about the country's PM Imran Khan, he vacated the residence in August 2019 and moved to his luxurious bungalow in Bani Gala. In September 2018, Imran Khan sold 8 buffaloes of PM House for Rs 23 lakh. In this regard, Pakistani media had reported that the Pak PM's decision was part of a campaign that vowed to cut government spending amid the financial crisis.

In the same episode, Pakistani PM Imran Khan had also auctioned 61 luxury vehicles. 20 crores, which was later deposited in the Government Exchequer. PM Khan had then talked about converting the building into a university and also chaired a meeting in this regard and also took some decisions. But, now, this decision has been postponed.
